McMinnville, Tennessee Homeless Summit focused on cost-effective, evidence-based solution to homelessness.

The public is invited to a free Homeless Summit this Thursday, October 15, at the Park Theater, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The McMinnville Action to Create Housing (MATCH) is hosting the event. At 7:15 p.m., MATCH will also present a free screening of the documentary Beyond the Bridge, which features a positive solution to homelessness. The Summit’s objective is to present a cost-effective, evidence-based solution to homelessness for our unhoused neighbors in McMinnville.

The Homeless Summit will provide the community with an opportunity to help support a program focused on ending homelessness for 10 individuals in our town.

The Summit will highlight three key topics:

Stories and examples of solutions to homelessness from people who have experienced homelessness in McMinnville.
A cost-effective, evidence-based strategy to help end homelessness for 10 of our neighbors over the next 12 months.
An 11-minute presentation featuring a TED Talk by Sam Tsemberis, who pioneered the most widely-accepted evidence-based solution to homelessness in America. Tsemberis was selected as one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in America in 2024.
